Group gets teen girls fired up to take the power away from bullying, date abuse, hate crimes, school violence, violence against women, and other esteem slayers.

HOLLYWOOD, July 16, 2011 -- Saving Our Daughters, an unusual celebrity-driven book series that addresses issues currently affecting teen girls, today announces its national kick off of two new initiatives — Power of Words & Actions Bully Prevention and Power of Words & Actions Donation Drive.

“Both initiatives are designed to help empower and mobilize teen girls to address and avoid problems concerning bullying,” said Tavia Pauling, Chief Operating Officer of Saving Our Daughters. The organization strives to reach over 50,000 teen girls annually and to date has a cadre of over 100 celebrity women from Hollywood weighing in with their own personal stories helping build-up self-esteem in young women.

Saving Our Daughters, which addresses issues relevant to teen girls, connects celebrities in a community-based forum and is a total resource component that translates easily into the current plan of work of almost any school group or community organization in its bullying prevention efforts.

“We have created a distinctive spin on the tools and action plans necessary for bullying prevention that also aids in decreasing tragedies associated with bullying,” noted Tavia in response to a question about the benefits derived from involvement with Saving Our Daughters.

“And what really makes us stand out,” said Tavia, “is the fact that we aren’t bashful about engaging celebrities who are personally connected to our mission and inspired to lend a hand to promote right action and help our teen girls.”

Saving Our Daughters is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that creates the tools to get teen girls discussing key issues and fired up to take the power away from bullying, date abuse, hate crimes, school violence, violence against women, and other esteem slayers.

For additional information and to join the initiatives, contact Saving Our Daughters at 866.437.5770 or visit www.savingourdaughters.org. The book series is available at select libraries or for purchase online through the Saving Our Daughters website (via Barnes & Noble). The latest book edition, “A Compilation of Women Thoughts from Hollywood” will be released during Memorial Weekend.
